Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

pidrip.com ("Pidrip", "we", "us") is a community-driven web service for members of the Pi Network ecosystem. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is maintained by the Pidrip team and applies to every page and feature of pidrip.com.

1. Information we collect

Google account information. Pidrip uses Google Social Login as its only sign-in method. When you authenticate, Google shares your basic profile with us: your name, your email address, and your profile image URL. We use this to create and identify your account.

We never receive or store your password. Authentication happens entirely on Google's servers. Pidrip has no access to your Google password, and we never ask for a Pi Network passphrase, seed phrase, private key, or any other secret credential — under any circumstance.

Profile information you provide. A unique nickname (required at onboarding), an optional uploaded profile photo, and, if you choose to provide one, your public Pi Wallet address. Only the public address is stored; never a passphrase.

Activity data. Posts you publish across categories (Crypto Info, Airdrop Info, Crowd Wisdom, and others), comments and Q&A replies, likes, reports you submit, Crowd Wisdom Pidrip Point stakes and Best Answer adoptions, and your Pidrip Point and reward histories.

Technical data. Standard log information such as request timestamps and error diagnostics, used to keep the service running and to detect abuse.

2. How we use your information

  • Identifying you and managing your account and session.
  • Displaying your nickname and profile image alongside your posts and comments.
  • Operating community features, including Crowd Wisdom question staking, Best Answer adoption, and the platform-sponsored +20 Pidrip Point bonus.
  • Calculating, crediting, and auditing Pidrip Points, Pidrip Point scores, and airdrop event participation.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, duplicate reward claims, spam, impersonation, and scam attempts.
  • Moderating content, including automated AI quality and safety review of submissions.
  • Improving the product — understanding which categories and features are used.

We do not use your personal information for automated decisions that produce legal effects on you, beyond the content-moderation and reward-eligibility checks described above.

3. Public information

Your nickname, profile image, posts, comments, Q&A answers, and Best Answer badges are visible to anyone who visits pidrip.com. Your email address and Pi Wallet address are not shown publicly and are stored separately from your public profile with restricted access.

4. AI processing

Content you submit may be sent to third-party AI providers for automated quality grading, spam detection, and safety moderation. Only the content of the submission is sent — not your email address or wallet address. Providers process this data solely to return a moderation result.

5. Sharing and third parties

We never sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers required to operate Pidrip: our hosting and database provider, Google (for authentication), and AI moderation providers as described above. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Pidrip is an independent community platform. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or officially affiliated with the Pi Core Team.

6. Data retention

Account and profile data are retained while your account is active. Posts and comments remain until you delete them or your account is removed. Detailed ticket-award log entries are automatically purged after 7 days; your cumulative Pidrip Point balance is kept as long as your account exists. Moderation and abuse records may be retained longer where necessary to prevent repeat abuse.

7. Security

Access to your data is enforced at the database level with row-level security, so users can read only what they are entitled to. Sensitive fields (email, wallet address, Pidrip Point balances) live in a restricted table that is never publicly readable. Uploads are served from a controlled media store. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

Anti-scam notice: Pidrip will never ask for your password, Pi passphrase, seed phrase, or private key — not by email, not in a comment, not in a direct message. Anyone who does is attempting to defraud you. Report them immediately.

8. Your rights

You may access and update your profile at any time from your account settings. You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Where required by law, you may also object to or restrict certain processing.

9. Children

Pidrip is not intended for anyone under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site. Questions or requests: support@pidrip.com.
